Dr. Leupold’s Biography

Dr. Kimberly Leupold is the owner and founder of Holistic Health Care Centers in Lisle, IL established in 2013. She is also the founder of Ryley’s Rainbow, a nonprofit clinic affiliated with Acupuncturist Without Borders established in 2017.

Dr. Kimberly Leupold is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, a Board Certified Licensed Acupuncturist, Herbalist, and trained in Colorpuncture, Healing Touch, and Energetic Transformations. She specializes in pain management, infertility and fertility support, men’s and women’s health, and pediatrics. Dr. Leupold also treats general physical and emotional health conditions.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two children, socializing with family and friends, being in nature, watching a hockey game, or kicking and punching in the dojo. Dr. Leupold loves to be active! She is a Second-Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. She loves being in nature, boating, practicing yoga, or going snowboarding.

Education and Training
Dr. Leupold earned a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine graduating with Honors (4.0) in 2019. She received her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) at the National University of Health Sciences (NUHS) in 2012. She graduated valedictorian and Summa Cum Laude. She is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa and Franklin Honor’s Society (4.0) resulting from her undergraduate work. At NUHS, she had a rotating residency at Stroger’s Cook County Hospital, Chicago, in the Acupuncture Pain Clinic. She worked alongside the assistant dean of NUHS at the university’s posttraumatic stress disorder and veteran’s clinic. She also had specialized clinical training in women’s health, fertility support and infertility treatment, and pediatrics.

Around 2005, Dr. Leupold began her Healing Touch and Energetic Therapy education due to a strong desire to help people reach greater well-being and healing in the most compassionate and noninvasive methods possible. In 2014 Kimberly was invited to be a presenter at the Healing Touch World Wide Conference. She presented on the topic of holistic treatments for pediatrics.

Dr. Leupold began here Esogetic Colorpuncture training in 2015. Due to the remarkable results Colorpuncture brings her patients and her patient’s love of this modality, she is currently a Esogetic Colorpuncture Professional Certification Candidate. 2/2023 is her anticipated completion date.

In addition to treating patients in practice, Dr. Leupold has always made volunteer work a priority in her life.

• Founder of Share A Smile, a non-profit helping those in need while also promoting education. (2003-2009)
• Volunteer at a Healing Touch Clinic at Alexian Brother’s Hospital in Elk Grove Village, IL (2007-2010)
• Volunteer with a pediatric organization based on educating the public to help decrease childhood obesity and promote healthy eating. (2012)
• Founder of Ryley’s Rainbow affiliated with Acupuncturists Without Borders, a non-profit. Ryley’s Rainbow is a free clinic for children who have gone through trauma, have special needs, or have long-term severe illness (2017 to Present).

Dr. John has over 12 years of experience as a licensed, board-certified chiropractic physician. He is also certified in acupuncture.

Penny Leupold is a Healing Touch Practitioner at Holistic Health Care Centers on the Border of Lisle and Naperville, IL.

Penny has been a registered nurse for over 49 years. Penny has been a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner for 17 years.

In 2010 Penny retired from her position of Professor of Nursing from Joliet Junior College. She currently holds the title of Professor Emeritus. Her vast work experiences include Maternal Child Health, drug dependency treatment, cardiology and home health.

Penny has always fostered the practice of holistic health care for all of her clients. Penny is committed to integrating holistic practices for the health and wellness of her individual clients, her community and to all others she can reach.

Penny graduated from Valparaiso University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Northern Illinois University with her Masters of Science in Maternal Child Health and is certified through Healing Beyond Boarders/Healing Touch International and Healing Touch Program.

Penny is a member of Healing Beyond Boarders/Healing Touch International, Healing Touch Program Professional Association, American Holistic Nurses Association, and American Federation of Teachers.

Paola is a Licensed Massage Therapist at Holistic Health Care Centers on the Border of Lisle and Naperville, IL.

Paola graduated from Northwestern Business College in June 2013 at the top of her class. Paola became a licensed massage therapist in August 2013 after completing 500 certification hours. Paola is a mother of three children and became a massage therapist after working in logistics for 10 years.

Once licensed, she was immediately offered a position with the chiropractic and physical therapy clinic, where she completed her clinical hours. Paola quickly became the most highly requested therapist at the clinic.

Paola believes in using a range of modalities to offer the best results for her Holistic Health Care Center’s clients. Some modalities she includes are myofascial release, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, acupressure focused massage, and aromatherapy.

Through Paola’s belief in offering her clients a range of modalities, Paola is continuously advancing in her education and treatment options, which include Energy Therapy. Paola has begun Healing Touch training. She has completed Healing Touch Levels 1, 2, and 3. She has also discovered a new modality called Spontaneous Muscle Release Technique (SMRT), which has given her new tools to help release deep and hard-to-reach adhesions that can sometimes be painful with traditional massage. She has completed her certification in SMRT. She is certified in head and neck, arms and hands, lower extremities, lower back, hips, abdomen, rib cage, shoulders, and axilla.
